Gilles joined the Group as Chief Digital Officer on 1 February 2016, reporting to Group CEO Peter Fankhauser. His role was to lead on the strategy for all future digital development and delivery and work with our markets to improve the Group’s digital sales performance. In August 2016, Gilles assumed the role of Chief Marketing and Digital Officer to optimise a seamless collaboration between our marketing and digital functions across the Group. Gilles previously worked at HolidayCheck AG, the leading travel portal in Germany, where he served as CEO and has previously worked for, where he led the Continental European business for 10 years.
