Mitra Sorrells joined PhocusWire as a senior reporter in January 2018 and became editor in chief in May 2022. She has broken many exclusive stories, overseen the annual Hot 25 Startups project, steered coverage of PhocusWire’s theme months and become a regular part of the brand’s video content and onstage at The Phocuswright Conference.

Sorrells has more than two decades of experience as a journalist. Prior to joining PhocusWire she was technology editor and Orlando bureau chief at BizBash, a trade media outlet for the event industry.
