Subsequent product releases included major Western European countries by the end of 1H2016. Waypass Seamless Booking RESTful API launches at the end of April 2017. Waynaut also has a team of consultants to assist in any API integrations or made-to-measure product offerings.
Business Model: Waynaut's value proposition is to generate consolidated itineraries across all transport modes in the customer journey, combining search and booking into one transaction for the traveller. We charge a transaction booking fee to our customers (e.g. OTAs) and the customer receives all commissions from the transport operators, plus applied markups.
Competitors: GoEuro, Rome2rio, routeRANK, Waymate, fromAtoB
Competitive Edge: Waynaut is a B2B multi-modal travel platform. Compared to existing solutions, Waynaut is the only one that can find complex combinations (e.g., a train from Milan to Turin, a flight to London and a bus to Oxford) and allow OTAs to offer them in a single transaction.
Market Opportunity: Many online travel agencies are not providing complete solutions across different means of transport for the whole customer journey, resulting in piecemeal search and purchasing by the end traveler. The opportunity is to provide consolidated multi-modal itineraries, which means simplifying the research for the traveler, from multiple websites to one multi-modal solution with one transaction process. This results in increased revenue through commissions across more means of transport.
