PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT

Leading by example

We are offsetting the carbon footprint of Phocuswright Europe 2026 including waste, power and water usage, food and beverage and transportation emissions of every attendee.

REDUCING AND REUSING

Responsible operations

Torre Melina Gran Meliá

Central to Phocuswright Europe's host hotel's recent transformation is an innovative approach to sustainability and a commitment to local heritage, particularly evident in Meliá’s partnership with Roca. By working with a Spanish company deeply rooted in the cultural fabric of Barcelona, Meliá is not only celebrating local craftsmanship, but also helping to reduce the overall carbon footprint of the property’s renovation.

By incorporating cutting-edge water-saving technologies, the hotel minimizes its impact on the environment without compromising the guest experience.

CREATING A SPACE FOR EVERYONE

A diverse and inclusive event

Phocuswright is working with organizations to improve diversity in the audience. In past events, we have sponsored tickets for organizations like RaizUp that help us identify attendees that better represent the diversity of the travel industry and its global representation.

SUPPORTING INCLUSIVE WORKPLACES

CEO-driven business commitment

Phocuswright's parent company Northstar Travel Group is a member of CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion. It's the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and includes the I Act On pledge for any individual to take.

POWERING GREAT DECISIONS

Comprehensive consumer research series focused on sustainability in the modern travel environment

Sustainability is one of the hottest topics in travel. But buzz does not always directly translate to consumer awareness or buy-in. While travelers often have good intentions, many lack an understanding of what constitutes sustainable travel, where to find reliable information on sustainability measures, and who should be responsible for ensuring future sustainable practices. Further, sustainability considerations rarely exert a major influence over trip decisions, lagging other top-of-mind factors such as cost and convenience. Thankfully, there is ample room for the travel industry to educate and engage consumers regarding sustainable travel, ultimately helping to protect the planet and ensure the health of the industry for years to come.
