Elena Avila is EVP Travel Distribution at Amadeus. She is a visionary and versatile leader with a passion for delivering customer value through innovation and optimization.

Today, she is leading one of Amadeus’ biggest business line responsible for evolving and executing distribution strategies, launching game-changing products and ensuring smooth customer operations.

Elena has a rich history of leadership roles at Amadeus. Most recently as Head of Airport IT and Airline Operations where she was instrumental in delivering innovative cloud-based solutions to both enhance the passenger experience at airports worldwide and optimize airlines’ operations at global scale.

In her previous role as the Head of Airlines Solutions Americas, Elena oversaw the airlines' business in the region, playing a pivotal role in the commercial, solutions, delivery, and customer support areas for airline customers throughout the Americas.

In addition, Elena has successfully held a number of senior management roles, including Director of Investor Relations, Director of Commercial Finance and Global Head of Strategy for Airlines since joining Amadeus in 2010.

Earlier in her career, Elena was an Executive Director at Morgan Stanley in the investment banking division based in London and Madrid.

A native Spaniard, Elena, along with her spouse and two children, lives in Madrid after some years in Dallas.
