Martim Gois saw the category before the data did. After bringing bed bugs home from a hotel in 2013, he founded Valpas to replace the industry’s chemical, reactive model with a structural one. Today, Valpas is the bed bug safety standard for hotels — 30,000+ rooms certified from Aman to Marriott, independently verified by Bureau Veritas, recognised by GSTC and WSHA, and the data partner behind the Phocuswright traveller study he’ll present at this session.
