Alex Saint Co-Founder and CEO
Alex co-founded the UK’s leading luxury travel deals business, Secret Escapes, in 2011 since when the business has grown to be present in twenty one countries, with over 750 employees, and has more than 47 million members. Prior to this he launched UK travel comparison site dealchecker.co.uk in 2005 which became one of the leaders in its sector and was sold to French group, Easyvoyage, in 2011.

In his current role as CEO Alex spends much of his time helping Secret Escapes’ developing markets in Southern Europe, the US and Asia reach their potential, as well as actively looking at M&A opportunities for the Group. Most recently Alex led Secret Escapes purchase of the Slevomat Group, Central Europe’s largest travel deals business, and Secret Escapes’ Series D fundraise.

Alex entered the digital space in 2001 when he joined the Daily Mail’s online division to head up their travel offering. Before this he started his career as a graduate at Unilever, working on some of the UK’s favourite consumer brands such as PG Tips.

When he’s not working Alex is happiest spending time with his wife Philippa and their two teenage boys and loves the great outdoors, particularly skiing, cycling and tennis.
