The Barcelona Tourism Consortium was created in 1993 by the Barcelona City Council, the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona, and the Barcelona Promotion Foundation, with the aim of promoting tourism in Barcelona.
We understand tourism as a tool for economic and social development that must be compatible with the daily life of the city. For this reason, we promote responsible, diversified, and year-round tourism, working in collaboration between public administrations and the private sector, with shared governance that allows us to act with a global vision and local responsibility.
