Announcing Phocuswright Europe Online 2021 Innovation: Summit and Launch EMEA Winners

Travel industry research authority Phocuswright has announced the award winners of the latest Phocuswright Innovation Platform programs, Summit: EMEA and Launch: EMEA. The virtual programs, held during Phocuswright Europe Online, provide the premier stages for innovators across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to demonstrate new ideas that are set to change the travel industry. 

Six innovators presented at Summit, the pitch competition for startups and scaleups, and six presented at Launch, the platform for scaleups and established companies to introduce new products. The winners represent the best of this elite group.

Indie Campers, a marketplace for renting or buying an RV and booking camping sites, won the Summit: EMEA Travel Innovator of the Year Award, as voted by the Dragons.

RoomPriceGenie, an automated revenue management solution for smaller hotels, took home the Summit: EMEA People's Choice Award.

reTravel, an autonomous up-selling and cross-selling service for the travel industry, claimed the Launch: EMEA People's Choice Award.

"As Europe attempts to fully reopen from the pandemic, creative solutions are more needed than ever to help travel companies optimize revenue, streamline processes and plan meetings & events, and to help travelers plan road trips and get back out into the world. This year's group of innovators delivered promising products in all of those areas and more." said Phocuswright's manager, research and innovation, Mike Coletta.

525 innovators have now taken the stages at Phocuswright's innovation events since the first Travel Innovation Summit in 2008. This esteemed group of Phocuswright Innovation alumni has brought countless innovations to the market. 362 of them have raised funding, adding up to over $5.8B collectively, and 91 have been acquired.
